The project kick-off meeting took place from 13-14 June 2019 in Genk, Belgium, with representatives from all 15 partner organisations eager to begin the project, emphasising the necessity of the research to be flexible in order to bring about positive change – decarbonising European buildings.

RES4BUILD will prioritise the space heating, cooling and hot water needs of buildings, while managing the building’s electricity generation and demand, ensuring the interaction with the grid is minimised.

The project hopes to decarbonise the energy consumption in buildings through integrated renewable energy-based solutions that are tailored to the needs and requirements of users and installers and are cost competitive by 2025.
