RES4BUILD partners visited the project's two pilot sites this year, Greece in May and Denmark in October. The pilot systems bring together the innovative components that have been tested and improved in the first two years of the project: concentrated photovoltaic-thermal collectors, a multi-source heat pump (coupling a magnetocaloric heat pump with a vapour compresion heat pump), and a building energy management system.
The two systems are being tested and validated in two diffrent climate zones - in Greece in a real world setup and in Denmark in a lab setup. Below are two images of the site visits.
Parallel work on case studies with end users, a rigorous life cycle assessment and a market analysis will establish how the solutions suit current needs and future expectations of users and installers.
