AEE Europe Annual Conference is an energy conference and technology expo that takes place from 26-27 October 2022 in Dublin, Ireland. It is specifically designed for professionals responsible for energy efficiency, management, supply and sustainability.

RES4BUILD partners ARUP presented at the event on Renewable Energy & Energy Storage, showcasing the project results and learnings to date. ARUP are working on impact assessment, market analysis and business models (Work Package 7). Their team is assessing the potential impact of the project through advanced building models and are conducting a detailed regulatory and market analysis to help pave the route to market for the innovative RES4BUILD integrated energy solutions.

- There is a current low commercialisation of RES4BUILD technology but similar alternative renewable energy technologies are available.

- Accessible and reliable RES simulation platform enables design – in the project these have been validated using pilot case studies.​

- A co-design process incorporating and educating stakeholders is key to long-term success of IES design for renewables​.

- The undeniable potential for EU buildings to decarbonise using renewable energy technologies requires ‘integrated thinking and design’ and overcoming of barriers.
